Marc Freedman talked about his book, The Big Shift: Navigating the New Stage Beyond Midlife, on the stage of life facing millions of baby boomers that he calls “encore adulthood.” In his speech he suggested the need for better social programs and savings plans for people in their 50's, 60's and 70s to provide meaningful and sustaining work later in life.
