Texas Collection at Baylor University

John Wilson talked about the Texas Collection at Baylor University. The Texas Collection’s holdings of books, archives, photographs, maps, newspapers, state documents, oral memoirs, and vertical files provide specialized published and primary materials for research into all phases of life in Texas. He shared selected items from the collection.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Waco, Texas, from Novermber 3-6 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
