Michael O’Hanlon talked about what the Afghan presidential elections meant for U.S.-Afghan relations and for U.S. troops remaining in the country beyond 2014. Afghans went to the polls the previous day to choose the country’s next president. Kim Gamel also spoke by phone from Kabul, Afghanistan about the elections.
