Paul Ross talked about Afghanistan and shared findings and recommendations from the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Article IV Consultation, an annual review of Afghanistan’s economy. Following his remarks, he responded to questions from the audience. Assistant Secretary Ross was optimistic about Afghanistan’s future, but that the political and security transition would have a major impact on how the economy functioned. Assistant Secretary Ross also said natural resources and agriculture would contribute to Afghanistan’s economic stability. His remarks included a PowerPoint presentation. close
