The burial of Navy Fireman 3rd Class John H. Lindsley, who was 22-years-old when he was killed aboard the USS Oklahoma during the December 7, 1941, Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Most of the crew’s 429 casualties have remained unidentified in the 75 years since the attack. A recent U.S. Department of Defense order has led to renewed efforts to recover their names and return them to their families, as was done in Lindsley’s case. This program also includes interviews with Lindsley’s niece and a representative of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. close
