First lady Michelle Obama gave a keynote address at a childhood obesity summit which looked at ways the private sector can help parents promote a healthy lifestyle to their children. Mayor Corey Booker announced the winner of the End Childhood Obesity Innovation Challenge. Kathleen Tullie introduced a video of the Build Our Kids' Success (BOKS) program that included Peyton Manning. Eli Manning, also a BOKS ambassador, introduced the first lady.
This was the closing plenary session of “Building a Healthier Future,” the Partnership for a Healthier America’s second summit on childhood obesity, which was held at George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium.
