Governor Dave Heineman (R) gave the annual state of the state address in the legislative chamber of the Capitol. He unveiled his tax reform plan that would eliminate or lower individual income tax and the corporate income taxes. His proposal would look for “alternative options” to eliminate business sales tax exemptions with all industries except for food.
