      <title>Education in Southern Sudan</title>
      <description>Participants spoke about the state of the education in Sudan and lessons learned after 21 years of civil war which left Southern Sudan with one of the weakest education systems in the world. Since the Comprehensive Peace Agreement was signed in 2005, considerable effort has focused on constructing a basic education system. They also spoke about the unique problems of building an educational system in Sudan and future challenges to improving education in the war-torn country. They answered questions from the audience.</description>
