These were the closing remarks of the third annual Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Summit, held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Healthy Students in conjunction with the departments of Justice, Health and Human Services, Defense, Agriculture, the Interior, the Federal Trade Commission, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and the National Council on Disability.</description>

      <description>Anti-bullying activists talked about the problem of youth bullying in schools and strategies to prevent bullying. Among the topics they addressed were parental awareness of the problems of bullying, bullying targeting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth, and the phenomena of cyber bullying. Several unidentified students also related their experiences with bullying and answered questions from the audience.</description>
