"A Conversation with Valerie Jarrett, White House Senior Advisor" was a 9 a.m. program at Netroots Nation 2009. The fourth annual gathering of the Netroots (formerly known as the YearlyKos Convention) was held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.</description>

      <description>Panelists talked about the "pop culture phenomenom" of 2008 election. Topics included why satirical [Daily Show]-type shows and Web sites have become politically influential, using celebrities to pull voters into political discussion, and whether or not bloggers should identify themselves as journalists.
 After the discussion, panel members responded to audience members' questions.

 "Pop Culture Politics" was part of the forum "2008: The First 21st Century Campaign," which was held in the Washington, D.C., offices of Google. It was co-sponsored by YouTube and National Journal.</description>

      <title>Keynote Address</title>
      <description>As part of the first YearlyKos Convention titled, "YearlyKos: Uniting the Netroots," Senator Boxer delivered the keynote address. Topics included criticism of the Bush administration and of the war in Iraq. After her speech  Senator Boxer answered audience members' questions. 
 
 Prior to her speech comedians provided political satire and commentary on recent public affairs events.
 
 Due to technical difficulties, the program contained brief moments of incomplete video. The audio portion was not affected.</description>
